I spent most of my 20s waiting on a breakthrough. What I’ve learned is that setbacks don’t stop you, they shape you. Every delay, every struggle, every low point pushed me to level up. I’m grateful for every day I’ve had above ground and every moment with my daughter, even when life was hard. That alone is a blessing. I thank God and thank you for supporting this vision.
Creating the royal gorilla, KING CASH, started like many small businesses, during the chaos of 2020. I was losing my mind, trying to survive the pressure, but I tapped back into my creativity and imagination. I turned my pain into purpose.
Every design started as a sketch in my room. A year later those sketches were turned into digital art and came to life on a hoodie. My first drop launched in November 2021. I sold out the 50 hoodies on my first release: KC the Hyphy Gorilla. That design wasn’t just art.
It represented the battles we fight in silence, the explosions no one sees.
We all carry them. Some of us just learned how to survive them.
